Elmer is a small borough located in the South Eastern part of Salem County. The borough has a total area of 0.9 square miles and a population around 1,500. It is home to one of the county's major hospitals and a major cultural attraction, Appel Farms Arts & Music Center. The borough describes itself as "the small town with the big welcome."
