Bozrah was first settled as part of the nine-miles-square of Norwich. This area then became known as "New Concord" in 1737. The Bozrah Congregational Church and Parsonage was added to the National Register of Historic Places, and Bozra continues to keep a sense of the historic atmosphere. Bozrah is made up of 2 smaller villages; Fitchville (the town center) and Gilman.
